| 1-2 Vancouver | Arrival & First Steps into Vancouver’s Chinatown After flying to Vancouver, students check in and begin with a Chinese martial arts (Kungfu) experience, followed by dinner at a lively night market and shopping at Aberdeen Centre for Asian goods. The next day, we dive deep into Vancouver’s Chinese heritage with a guided tour of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden and Chinatown, a calligraphy/painting workshop, and a traditional Cantonese BBQ lunch. The day ends with a thrilling FlyOver Canada virtual flight and a hearty hotpot dinner. |
| 3-4 Vancouver | Temples, Performance Arts & Outdoor Adventures Day 3 begins with a visit to the Guan Yin Temple, learning about Buddhist traditions, followed by a Chinese market language activity. After a dim sum lunch, students choose between traditional Chinese dance or K-pop dance class, enjoy dinner at Crystal Mall’s food court, and finish the evening with two hours of karaoke. On Day 4, it’s all about Vancouver’s great outdoors—cycling around Stanley Park, visiting UBC for a dragon boating session, and exploring Granville Island before dinner at the Public Market. |
| 5-6 Vancouver, Victoria | Vancouver Island Excursion & Farewell A ferry ride takes us to Vancouver Island, where students explore the breathtaking Butchart Gardens, stroll through Victoria’s Chinatown, and visit the Legislative Assembly of BC before returning by ferry.
